Secondary coating line

The secondary coating line is especially designed for loose tube optical fiber coating. The loose tube can be jelly filled or dry loose tube. In case of dry-tube solution, the gas injection contributes to maintain constant the tube diameter and cable roundness.

Main technical features:

• Multi-fiber pay-off with dancer to control and equalize the tension of each fiber
• Main extruder TR.45 or TR.60
• Fixed centered crosshead, including the jelly injection device to produce loose tube
• Efficient cooling with dual wheel capstan for the shrinkage control
• Caterpillar for a close monitoring of the cable tension and thus of the EFL
• Automatic dual take-up to ensure high productivity and continuous line speed
