The line addresses the biggest low voltage power cables. All thermoplastic materials, flame retardant HFFR compounds, dry-silane cross-linked PE and in particular liquid silane technology can be processed with this versatile line, with the appropriate screw.
The extruder group is composed of the main extruder for insulation TR.100 25D, TR.120 25D or TR.160 25D and auxiliary extruder TR.45.V 24D or TR.60 25D for skin/stripe. An additional sheathing extruder can be tandemized with the insulation extruder group upon request. The main extruder is recommended 30D if liquid silane technology is used, to ensure PE grafting and peroxide decomposition and then high cross-linked degree with minimum silane dosage. For a multipurpose line where PVC, HFFR and liquid silane XLPE are processed, a standard 25D extruder is used with a special screw profile for liquid silane XLPE and an additional low compression screw for HFFR. The material handling station unit includes a gravimetric dosing unit for the optimal liquid silane dosage.
